The main focus of our research is to improve resource productivity to provide a high quality life with as less resources (energy, minerals, land, etc.) as possible.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<div id=\"main_wrapper\">\n<div id=\"wrapper\">\n<div id=\"contents\" class=\"cb\">\n<div id=\"in_main\">\n<div class=\"context_wrapper\">\n<div class=\"context cb\">\n<h3>Approach from \u201cMaterials Science\u201d field<\/h3>\n<div class=\"context_inner\">\n<div class=\"left_box\">\n<p class=\"header\">We research on the effective and environment-friendly use of the resources from a viewpoint of materials science, based on both \u201cthe development of functional materials and new material (eco-material)\u201d and \u201cthe development of a new process (eco-process)\u201d.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"listmark cb\">\n<li>High-performance photocatalysis materials using Titanium oxide, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Nitrogen storage alloys aiming at highly effective energy use.<\/li>\n<li>High-performance new material and processes with use of magnetic field.<\/li>\n<li>Carbon dioxide fixation process using solar energy and iron oxides.<\/li>\n<li>Material synthetic process using repeated press-rolling class=\"left_box\">\n<p class=\"header\">In this approach, we evaluate environmental effects of products, processes and systems, both existing and new, by employing the LCA method, the input-output analysis, etc., to seek for harmony with the earth environment.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"listmark cb\">\n<li>Developing an evaluation index for environmental burden including the recycling process.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation of energy productivity by input-output analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of carbon dioxide exhaust by a modal shift in Kyoto city.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluation of influences of
