At the 2nd International Lignin Symposium, held from September 7-10, 2024, at the Kyoto Institute, Library and Archives, Mr. Ikeda Francisco Alex, a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Socio-Environmental Energy Science, gave a poster presentation titled ‘One-pot conversion of polysaccharides and lignin in wood to syngas and aromatic monomers’ and was awarded the Best Student Poster Award.
