Gender Equality Initiatives

The Graduate School of Energy Sciences is making the following efforts to promote gender equality.

Rest Area for Women in Graduate School of Energy Sciences

A women-only rest room and student lounge are available for female faculty, staff, and students of the Graduate School of Energy Sciences to take a rest in a space where privacy is maintained. These rooms can also be used for temporary rest for reasons such as physical discomfort, breastfeeding, changing diapers, etc.

Female Researcher Support System

The Graduate School of Energy Sciences has established the “Start-up Support Program for Female Faculty Members of the Graduate School of Energy Sciences” to support newly hired female faculty members to start their research smoothly.

The amount of the grant is 1,000,000 yen for professors and associate professors, and 500,000 yen for lecturers and assistant professors.
