In accordance with the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act, Kyoto University has established the Security Export Control Regulations of Kyoto University. Under the regulations, the university conducts rigorous screening regarding the export of goods and the provision of technology (including the hosting of individuals) prior to the admission of students. Please be aware that admission may be denied if a case falls under the scope of the regulations, or if a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) is not issued, or the screening process is prolonged, even if the applicant has passed the entrance examination. Please note that even after enrollment, restrictions may be placed on the education or research guidance that a student can receive.
