At the 70th Lignin Symposium held at Mie University on November 6–7, 2025, Alex Ikeda, a third-year doctoral student in the Department of Socio-Environmental Energy Science, received the Student Outstanding Oral Presentation Award for his presentation titled “Production of aromatic monomers and syngas via pyrolysis-assisted catalytic conversion in hot-compressed water — Reaction mechanism and the role of polysaccharide components.”
